The Challenge
Farmers in Maharashtra were losing crops due to unpredictable weather and lack of real-time environmental data. Manual soil testing was infrequent and expensive. Irrigation was based on guesswork, leading to both water waste and crop stress. There was no affordable technology solution designed for farmers with limited tech experience.
Our Solution
We built GreenHarvest — a smart agriculture platform that connects low-cost IoT sensors to a cloud-based monitoring dashboard. Sensors measure soil moisture, temperature, humidity, and light levels every 5 minutes. The system triggers automated irrigation when soil moisture drops below thresholds and sends mobile alerts for anomalies. The dashboard was designed for simplicity — large icons, regional language support, and voice-based alerts.
